How Pricing Works
Credit costs are fully database-driven via the pricing_matrix table. There are no hardcoded prices in the application.
Pricing Calculation
When a node executes, the system:
- Identifies the model key from the node's configuration
- Calls the
calculate_model_pricedatabase function - Matches the model against the pricing matrix using wildcard patterns
- Factors in resolution, duration, audio, and other options
- Returns the credit cost
Pricing Generation
Pricing records are generated via the admin panel's "Generate Pricing Records from WaveSpeed" feature:
- The system calls the WaveSpeed API to get the actual provider cost
- Applies a 25% margin (
MARGIN_MULTIPLIER = 1.25) - Rounds to the nearest multiple of 5 credits
- Creates pricing records for all configuration combinations (resolution, duration, etc.)
Cost Badges
Each generation node displays a NodeCostBadge on hover, showing the estimated credit cost for the current configuration. The badge appears as a coin icon with the credit amount in the top-right corner of the node.

Credit costs shown below are approximate. Actual prices are fetched from the database and may change as provider costs are updated. Hover over nodes in the Flow Editor to see current prices.

Do unused credits roll over?
Subscription credits do not roll over. Top-up credits do not expire.
What happens if I run out of credits?
AI operations pause. You can add credits to continue immediately.
Can I downgrade my plan?
Yes, downgrade anytime. Changes take effect next billing cycle.
Why do prices change?
Credit costs are calculated from provider API costs plus a margin. When providers adjust their pricing, DUTO's credit costs may change accordingly. The admin panel regenerates pricing records from current provider costs.
