Storage Limits

Understanding and managing your Content Library storage quota.

Storage by Plan

Each plan includes a storage allocation for your Content Library:

PlanStorage
BetaList25 GB
Basic25 GB
Standard50 GB
Pro100 GB
Enterprise1 TB

The default storage quota (when no plan is set) is 50 GB. Your quota is stored in the storage_quota_bytes column on your profile.

What Counts Toward Storage

All files in your user_library are tracked with a file_size_bytes column. The total is cached in storage_bytes_used on your profile.

Counts toward storageDoes not count
Generated imagesWorkflow definitions
Generated videosProject metadata
Generated audioAccount settings
Auto-saved workflow outputsStoryboard project data
Manually saved files

Checking Your Usage

Storage Progress Bar

A storage progress bar is shown in the Content Library sidebar, displaying:

  • Used bytes vs. total quota (e.g., "12.4 GB / 50.0 GB")
  • A visual progress bar
  • A warning message when usage exceeds 90%

Storage Analytics Panel

The full Storage Analytics panel (available in the library) provides:

  • Total storage -- Used vs. quota with a color-coded progress bar
  • Breakdown by source -- How much storage Flows, Storyboards, and Manual Saves each use, with file counts
  • Breakdown by media type -- Storage used by images, videos, audio, text, and JSON files
  • Largest files -- Top 10 largest files with delete buttons for quick cleanup

Warning Thresholds

The system shows warnings at three levels:

ThresholdLevelBehavior
80%WarningInfo toast: "Storage 80% Full" with usage details
90%CriticalWarning toast: "Storage Nearly Full" with link to manage storage
100%BlockedError toast: "Storage Full" -- new uploads and generations are blocked

Warnings display once per session per threshold level. The progress bar in the analytics panel changes color at each level (yellow at 80%, amber at 90%, red at 100%).

Pre-Generation Check

Before generating content, the system checks your storage status. If storage is at 100%, generation is blocked with a message. At the critical level, a warning appears but generation proceeds.

Managing Storage

Finding Large Files

  1. Open the Storage Analytics panel in the Content Library
  2. Expand the Largest Files section
  3. Click the trash icon next to any file to delete it directly

Reducing Usage

  • Delete old outputs -- Remove workflow outputs you no longer need
  • Clean up storyboard content -- Remove shots from old storyboard projects
  • Use the bulk delete feature -- Select multiple items and delete them at once
  • Download before deleting -- Use the advanced download dialog to save files locally, then delete from the library

Deletion Behavior

When you delete a file:

  • The file is removed from storage (BunnyCDN or Supabase Storage)
  • The database record is deleted
  • Your storage_bytes_used is updated
  • The storage usage query is invalidated, so the UI refreshes

Deletion is permanent -- there is no recycle bin or undo.

File Size Reference

Images

ResolutionTypical Size
512x5120.2--0.5 MB
1024x10240.5--2 MB
2048x20482--8 MB

Videos

DurationTypical Size
5 seconds (1080p)10--30 MB
10 seconds (1080p)20--60 MB

Videos are typically the largest consumers of storage. If you generate many videos, monitor your usage regularly.

FAQ

What happens when I hit the storage limit? You cannot upload new files or auto-save generated content until you free up space or upgrade your plan.

Does deleting files free space immediately? Yes. The storage counter updates immediately after deletion.

Can I recover deleted files? No. Deletion is permanent. Download important files before deleting.

How is storage calculated? Storage is calculated from the file_size_bytes column in the user_library table, summed per user via a database function.
